Auditions have been set for the 2008 Tour year
CLOG AMERICA will begin the audition process for the 2009 Tour year with an Audition Workshop and an Audition.
SATURDAY AUGUST 23, 2008- Audition Workshop at
MC Dance Academy located
at 2150 South 3700 West.
The only access to 2150 South is on 3600 West.
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Workshop fee- $15 includes DVD
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2008- 2009 Tour Auditions held at the SOUTH JORDAN COMMUNITY CENTER located at 10778 S. Redwood Rd. in South Jordan
9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
1991-2007: CLOG AMERICA has represented the USA in over 45 major international festivals throughout France, Germany, Poland, Italy, England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, the Czech Republic, Canada, Korea, Hungary, Romania, China, Russia, Mexico, Brazil and the USA.
FUTURE 3- WEEK FESTIVAL TOURS:
July and August 2008- Spain and France
July 2009- Norway and Latvia
July 2010- Russia
CLOG AMERICA is an ensemble comprised of championship and pro-level cloggers as well as bluegrass musicians. Rehearsals are held one Saturday each month Oct- June from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Yearly dues are $100. (Room and board as well as in-country transportation are provided during festivals.)
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
• All audition material, including character and clogging dance segments’ will be taught during the workshop.
• Please wear dark clothing to the auditions and bring clogging shoes as well as other comfortable dance or tennis shoes. Ladies should have their hair pulled back from their face.
• All those interested in auditioning must be 15 years old by September 1, 2008.
